WHIT I WILL DO IN THIS BREAK?

I have a lot of things I want to do in this break. first, I want to have a little vacation time in turkey or United arab of emirates which is gonna be planned in the next week or so and after that I will visit my back home country for two or three weeks.
On top of what i mentioned, I will try learn to drive the car. Also, I hope I can fInd some time to do volunteer at my kids school because of this, I'm thinking to stop my English classes two months or more. I hope what I will do is convenient for me and for my family.

WHAT I LEARNED THIS SEASON

This season, I had issue with my kids' school , so now I know that communication between parents and the school staff is very important because It makes our kids happy, and feel safe, also that makes cooperation between the parents and school staff very effectively .
Actually ,when I talked with my kids' school, It makes me very comfortable and makes me know the details I need to know. But also I discovered one thing that I think it is more important for anyone, who deal with kids directly, needs first to earn the mandatory skills.

AN EMBARRASSING MOMENT

The day when I was in middle  school in the recess time.  My shoe ripped, while I was playing with my friends racing,so I couldn't play any more with them because that I sat in the corner for rest of the time, after the recess time finished every student should return to there classes ,so it was necessary for me to go with them, so I walked bare foot ,and I was praying that no body would look down ,and see my foot, but  my best friend saw it  ,and she asked my what happen ,so I told her every thing .it was a surprise for me, when she laughed aloud and a lot .She thought that was funny ,but for me it was very an embarrassing.

Jeddah Shopping Malls

Before I came to the states, I was living in Jeddah which is one of the beautiful cities in my home country, saudi arabia. It has roughly more than 20 malls throughout the entire city. When the shopping comes to my mind, I always remember that I missed Jeddah Malls where the shopping, dinning, diversity and kids entertainment. For most of the times, We used to go to the malls as a family where I spend my time shopping in the different stores while my kids having a great times in the theme amusement area and ice skating which almost every single mall has them. Also each shopping center has a Mosque to pray and do your worship.  On some events throughout the entire year and particularly on summer and some of the holidays, the shopping malls prepare a huge stage for different activities, kids and family competitions and having a fun time. Some of these shopping malls have small museums for kids for  entertainment and learning purposes like Jeddah Science Oasis. Here will provide some documentary photos as well as a website of one of the malls that i used to shop in.

My best friend as a child

When I was a child in the elementary school, I got to know one of my best friends who was a girl.  She was honest, patient, nice and tolerant. We played together and shared our stuff. We never be mad from each other.  One day, we met by chance on the beach, we played a soccer and boxing together. she used to win over me all the time except that day on the beach when I dropped her to the ground by mistake so she got injured and we brought her to the hospital where she treated. I thought she was going to hate me but she wasn't even angry to me. When she healed, we played again and continued to study, joke and hangout almost every single day.
We used to meet in the yard every day after school and every one has seeds to plant the flowers. As the flowers grown up, we were very happy and proud with what have been done. It was a great days and non forgetful memories.

My Favorite Song

                                                               HEALING'S SONG

The Song I like is Healing for Sami Yusuf. It has words with great meaning. I learned that we can help and heal the people with even a smile. The Smile is life especially for children. We all can help each other. We don't have to have a lot of money or to do something difficult but instead we have to treat and feel good with each other. You just believe that and practice it in your daily lifestyle. If you make it part of your believe, it will be easy to practice it.
This singer is a unique star since he can sing with different languages like English, Arabic and others.

We started watching media since Saturday and initially Isaac was Tropical Storm. The expectation was to be upgraded to category 1 and then category 2 which is the one going to hit greater new orleans area. fortunately, it is only upgraded to category 1. My husband was working on Monday and when he came back we decided to evacuate to Houston, Texas  by the next day. On Tuesday, we collected the essential things like documents, food and clothing. After that, we drove  through I10 west after we ensured that the routes are OK. we made arrangement with a hotel to stay and we arrived at 4 pm. We enjoyed three nights and we continued monitoring the weather, road routes and power outages throughout the trip. By Friday, there was no more wind or rain and the power was so we decided to go back through the designated road routes and finally got home at 10 pm. No real damage happen to my home.

Bkhor

Bkhor

We ,in Saudi Arabia, always use special perfume  Named in Arabic as a Bkhor and  in English I think it named as incense. It is the type of wood taken from a special kind of trees. Usually we bring it from east Asia. It has a good smell. We use it in weddings and we also use it for a newborn shower party or when guests come to the house . We take a little incense and put it over hot coals and then smoke comes out of it with a great smell. We use it all the time with every celebration we have.  We also consider it as a great gift we can give to others. Some of the incense are very expensive and some of it is cheap, this depends on the kind and quality of the material and the tree  from which extracted.

Here is some Photos to this tradition:
